Charles Edward "Sonny" Ramsey, 17, died December 16, 1951 near Valley Head as a result of injuries in an automobile accident. He was born in Duffy, West Virginia, July 24, 1934 to Maynard L. and Louise D. Toms Ramsey who survive in Monterville.

Survivors in addition to his parents are; two half-brothers, Mason Toms of Tacoma, Washington and Virgil Toms of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Weaver of Duffy, West Virginia and Mrs. Helen Proudfoot of Harding, West Virginia.

Charles was a senior at the Tygarts Valley High School and last year attended Greenbrier Military Academy in Lewisburg.
