Zelinko, Sr., Edward G. 91 of Coal City passed away on Friday May 4, 2012 at Walnut Grove Village.

He was born on October 6, 1920 in Nokomis, IL to the late George and Anna Zelinko. He was employed for 12 years at Allen Bottling Company, a 46 year member of The Labors Local 75., And a member of the Assumption Church. He enjoyed carpentry work, feeding the squirrels, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by His wife of 64 years Laurine Zelinko whom he married on June 29, 1947 and still to this day called each other "Lover"; three children, Edward Zelinko Jr., James (Linda) Zelinko, and John (Kathy) Zelinko; eight grandchildren, Timothy Zelinko, Jamie Zelinko Hughes, Jill Zelinko, Jimmy Joe (Jasmin) Zelinko, Candie (Matt) McCants, Lori (Chris) Cavera, Beth (Fiancé Tim) Zelinko and Chad (fiancé Jenny) Winnicki; a special nephew and niece Don (Puggy) and Carol Vilt; fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Francis Vilt, and Gladys Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from Ferrari Funeral Services at 9:30 Am to The Assumption of The Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church for a 10:00 am mass of Christian burial Father Robert Noesen will officiate with interment in Braceville Gardner Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 pm At Ferrari Funeral Services (corner of Spring Rd. and Ferrari Drive) in Coal City.
