Graveside services for Mrs. Alva "Alice" Abbott, 77, will be at the Colfax Cemetery on Monday at 2 p.m.
She was born in Colfax in 1891 to Joseph Groom b. in Ca. and C. (McGuire) Groom. The was married to Alva Abbott, who died in 1965. The Abbotts lived in Colfax until 1923, when they moved to Hilmar, Calif. She moved to Livermore to live with a son after her husband's death.
She is survived by two sons, Glen R. Abbott and Perry M. Abbott, in California; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Carlberg and Mrs. Alpha Blomquest, all in Calif., and a brother-in-law Ellis Abbott of Colfax., five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
