The Obituary of William C. Andre
William C. Andre, son of W. Harvey and Mary Andre, was born in Scott county Sept. 5, 1876, and passed away Feb. 2. 1958, at the hosptial in Esterville at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 28 days.
He was united in marriage to Daisy Mitchell Dec. 1, 1900, and they made their home on a farm south of Gray, Iowa. In 1936 they left Iowa and went to Arkansas where they lived until 1943 when they moved to Arnolds Park.
A year later Mrs. Andre passed away, and Will resided here until over a year ago, when he went to live with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Andre, in Esterville. He has been in failing health the last few years.
On Feb. 2, 1952, he became a member of the Griends church in Arnolds Park.
Mr. Andre was preceded in death by his wife, his mother and father, one sister, Ollie McCleod, and a brother, Johnny.
Left to mourn his passing are on sister, Jenny Aikman of Audubon, Iowa; on brother Frank, of Esterville, quite a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a great many friends he has acquired during his lifetime.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 5, from funeral home at Manning with Rev. Paul A ___ of Arnolds Park officiating. Interment was made at Manning.
