Orrin A. Anderson 82, of Sauk Centre, died Friday, April 12, 1996 at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at First United church-United Church of Christ. Rev. Elliot George will officiate with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Orrin Anderson was born Dec. 7, 1913 in Sauk Centre to Alfred and Tilla (Brecken) Anderson. He married Irene Brophy March 27, 1936 in Alexandria. He was a lifetime resident of Sauk Centre and served in the National Guard for ten years up until WWII. He played in various bands in the Sauk Centre area for many years. He retired in 1976 after 38 years of custodial work at Sauk Centre High School. He was a member of First United Church-United Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Irene of Sauk Centre; son and daughter, Orin Anderson and wife Sondra of Spicer, MN, and Kathleen Juneau and husband of Maplewood, MN; four grandchildren, Orin Anderson III, Eric Anderson, Gene Murray Jr. and Jennifer Schinzing and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Orin Anderson III, Eric Anderson, Bill Berg, Joe Juneau, Harvey and Eric Carlson. Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral Service, Sauk Centre.
