Thomas Herman Adams, 70, died at 4:15 PM Thursday [June 29, 1972] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he was admitted Wednesday, following seven years of failing health. Born and reared in Crab Orchard, KY, he came to Lafayette in 1918. In 1924, he married Ruby L. Harrison, who survives.
Mr. Adams was a retired Monon Railroad employee. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 347, Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, and the Holden Mills Baptist Church in Crab Orchard.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Lillian (Mrs. Harold) Gerber and Patricia (Mrs. Haden) Guard, both of Lafayette; two sons, Thomas E. Adams, at home, and Lloyd E. Adams of Denver, CO; two brothers, Edgar Adams of Milford, OH, and Elmer Adams of Crab Orchard, KY; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
