Mr. A.J. Cagle was born May 12, 1920 in Franklin County. He passed away at his home Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was a long time resident of Opelika. He was employed in the Bleachery Department of West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Company and retired with 29 years service. He was one of the original carpenters in the construction of First Freewill Baptist Church where he and his wife were members. Mr. Cagle is survived by his wife, Lora Jewell Cagle of Opelika; two daughters, Mavalene LaGrone of Opelika, Julie (Ronald) Hugley of Opelka; seven grandchildren, Judith (Ricky) Love, Ron LaGrone, Joshua Chislom, Erin (Al) Cole, Amy Chislom, and Ashley Chislom; six great grandchildren, Alyson Cole, Daniel Love, Ashton Love, Shad Lynn, Parker Lynn; and brother Freddie (Betty Jean) Cagle of Anniston.
