Floyd went to his heavenly home Sunday, March 17, 2013.
Floyd was born July 13, 1936, in Gould, to William Barry and Eva Viola (Easter) Brown. He moved to Lawton in 1946. Floyd married Janelle Morgan in 1954, and she passed away in 1959. Floyd married Frances Carson in 1960, and she passed away in 2006. Floyd worked for Falstaff Brewery for 20 years as a truck driver, then he worked for Brown and Root Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping especially the bonfires, riding motorcycles, socializing, and listening to music. He loved for his granddaughters to sing to him.
Floyd is survived by 10 children and their spouses: J. B. McFarland, Mary and Dennis Sullivan all of Cache; Sissie and Larry Williams, Pecos and Sandy McFarland, Maurice and Brenda Brown, Betty Kirtley, Buba and Donna Brown, all of Lawton; Eva Brown, of Apache; Barbara and Steve Ryans of Marlow; and Michael Brown, of Rush Springs; brothers and sisters: Lillie Gann, Jessie and Juanita Brown, Ira and Lula Mae Brown, Billy and Sue Brown, all of Lawton; and Galvin Brown, of Faxon; brother-in-law, Marvin Pierce, of Oklahoma City; 42 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouses: Janelle Brown and Frances Brown; two brothers: Kenneth and Lester Brown; and three sisters: Eva Leoma Nichols, Martha Byrd and Nellie Pierce.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 2701 SW J, Lawton.
