FROM THE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION - Leona Talbert Parish, Arthur L Parish - Services will be held separately for Leona Talbert Parish, 67, and Arthur L Parish, 68, who were found dead Sunday in their Wanamaker home.
State police said Mrs Parish was killed late Saurday night by shotgun wounds inflicted as she slept in her bedroom. Her husband, despondent over medical bills,allegedly shot her and then shot himself.
The Marion County coroner's offis is investigatine.
Services for Mrs Parish will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday in Ewing Mortuary at Shelbyville, where friends may call from 6 PM to 9 PM today.
Services for Mr Parish will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday in Robert W Stirling Funeral Home at Acton, where friends may call from 2 PM to 9 M Wednesday.
A native of Flat Rock, Mrs Parish had lived at Wanamaker since 1974. She was an employee of the former Admiral Corp at Shelbyville, retiring in the 1960s. Survivors include her sister, Winona Ivie, and two brothers, Paul R and William D C Talbert.
A lifelong Wanamaker resident, Mr Parish was a service manager for Humphrey Motor Co for 20 years. He was a member of Eagles Lodge at Shelbyville. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Conover, and two sons, Ronald Arthur and Michael R Parish.
