Suvivors include: 1 Son: Bill Paxson of Garden City, 7 Daughters: Ruth Plankenhorn, Verna Chappell, Leona Huber, Theda William all of Garden City, Asyneth Martin of Hutchinson, Kansas, Darlene VanCampen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Catherine Knoll of Topeka, Kansas. 1 Brother: Pastor Curtiss DAle of Superior, Montana. 1 Sister: Royalyn Lynes of Eureka, Kansas. 43 Grandchildren 81 Great-Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Born in Lakin,Kansas Evelyn grew up in Deerfield,Kansas and attended schools in Deerfield. She graduated from high school in Deerfield in 1930. Evelyn attended 1 semester of college in Wichita,Kansas. She lived in Missouri for a short time before moving to Garden City,Kansas in 1948. She has lived in Garden City since. Evelyn worked most of her life as a cook in restaurants throughout Garden City. She also worked as a cook with U.S.D #457 at Friend Elementary School for 3 years. She retired in 1989. Evelyn was a member of the Church of God Adventist Church in Garden City and she served as the pianist for 17 years with this church. She also served as the pianist for the Hispanic Ministry with the 7th Day Adventist Church. She served as a teacher's aid at the church and as a receptionist at the Senior Center. She volunteered as a pianist for sing alongs at the Senior Center. Evelyn was also a member of the Finney County Senior Center and R.S.V.P. She enjoyed her music, traveling, quilting, crossword puzzles, working in the church, spending time with her family and she especially took pride in remembering all of her grandchildren's birthdays. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Duvall, Ralph W Paxson, and Allen Cole. She is also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Duvall, a sister, Dorthy Jones, and a great grandchild.
