James Floyd "Jimmy" Abercrombie, 70 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, March 15, 2013, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, June 4, 1942, he was the son of the late Floyd Abercrombie and the late Margaret Lock Abercrombie.

He was a retired truck driver for Reed's Trucking, member of the Newbern Assembly Of God Church and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will Rev. Ronnie Sanders.

He is survived by his wife, Doan Asbille Abercrombie; three daughters, Pat Abercrombie Kilpatrick and Linda Abercrombie both of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Donna Abercrombie Schoonover of Union City, Tennessee, one brother, Philip Abercrombie of Kenton, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Ashley Haycraft Jones of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Zachary Donnell of Union City, Tennessee and Jonathan Haycraft of Virginia Beach, Virginia; five great-grandsons, Mason Jones, Logan Haycraft ,Barrett Haycraft, Jaycob Jones and Jaxon Jones.
