Mr. Brent who had lived in Golden Gate for 21 years, died June 26 at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for one day.
Born March 12 1882 in Orange county, Indiana he was the son of Valentine and Elizabeth Kennel Brent.
Surviving are his wife, Anna, four sons, Eldon of Albion, Ivan of Fairfield, Arnold of Calcalenta, Nev. and Kenneth of Long Beach, Calif.; six daughter, Mrs. Virginia Garris of Albion, Mrs. Stella Hutchcraft of Fairfield, Mrs. Dorothy King of Reno, Nev., Mrs. Gladys Brines of Cowling, Mrs. Jean Ralston of Reno and Mrs. Pauline Thompson of Samuels, Idaho; 49 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Willie Brent of Golden Gate and one sister, Mrs. Flossie Whiteside of Indianapolis, Ind.
Interment was at the East Antioch cemetery.
