Ethel Elsie McKee, 88 Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, and formerly of 1223 Jackson Blvd, Rochester, passed away at 9:25 p.m. Friday at Kosciusko Communicty Hospital, Warsaw.

Seh was born on July 31, 1922 in St. Louis, MO., the daughter of Tom An Augusta Brown. On Sept 16, 1942 in Logansport, she married retried U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Billy A. McKee. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2008.

Mrs. McKee had worked at The Racket, Wilson's Clothing Store, Bluminthal's and the B&B Men's Store, all in Rochester. She was a member of the first Presbyterian Church, Rochester, where she had been active in the Women's Association. For many years she worked on election day as a poll worker.

Survivors include her sons, George and wife Kyoko McKee, Antelope, Calif., and Tom and wife Terri McKee, West Bloomfield, Mich,;and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: and brother George Brown.

Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
