"Pioneer Jefferson County farmer, died at his home in Brighton Friday. Born and raised near Perlee, on the old Samuel Macy farm. Lived entire life in Jefferson County until moving to Brighton only last Oct. He is the last of his family, his parents and two brothers, Charles and Harvey, having preceded him in death. Survived by wife, Mrs. Eva Black; four stepchildren, Byron Hamilton and Mrs. Paul Taylor of Ames; Wayne Hamilton of Libertyville, and Harry Hamilton northwest of Brighton; a nephew Roy Black of Birmingham, and two nieces, Mrs. Rex Ramsey of Birmingham, and Mrs. Porter Hootman of Fairfield."
