Selma' Baptism occurred on the 31st of August 1890, at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Louise Petring was Selma's Sponsor.
Selma was the eldest of Johann Henrich and Luise Sophia Weber's four children. Her siblings included: sister, Alma Mathilda Carolina Weber; brother, Herman August Heinrich Weber; and sister, Anna Katharine Stella Weber.
Prior to her marriage to Harry J. Almstedt, Selma had been employed as a stock girl for a lamp company, in St. Louis.
Selma and Harry J. Almstedt were married at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Louis, Missouri, on the 14th of June 1911. Harry was the son of Henry Almstedt, and his wife, the former Lena Ellinghaus.
Selma and Harry were parents of three sons: Leonard, Harold, and Raymond, all of whom were born in St. Louis, and raised at their parents home on Margaretta Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri.
Sadly, in July of 1930, Selma learned that her beloved mother, Sophie, had died while on vacation in Germany. Afterwards, Selma, helped care for her widowed father, until his death in 1937.
Harry Almstedt, a Tool and Dye Maker, who was employed at Tyler Metal Product Company, of St. Louis, Missouri,died on the 4th of December 1950, at the age of 64.
Selma would go on to outlive two of her siblings, sister Alma, and brother Herman August "Gus" Weber before she died in November 1973.
Selma had lived her entire life in St. Louis, Missouri. She was survived by her children, Leonard, Harold, and Raymond, and their families, as well as her sister Stella, and her family. Selma was survived by her nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
