Braden Everett Barnes, 68, of Volant RD 1, died yesterday in the Bashline Memorial Hospital following a heart attack. He was born in Butler County, Feb. 21, 1900, to James O. and Annie M. Jones Barnes. He married the former Florence E. Stevenson on Aug. 3, 1925. Mr. Barnes was retired from Sharon Steel Corp. He attended the C & MA Church. Surviving are his wife at home; six daughter, Mrs. Miche (Vera) DeGregory of Grove City, Mrs. Merle (Thelma) Noble of Volant RD 2, Mrs. Harvey (Dorothy) Lyons of Campbell, Ohio, Mrs. Leroy (Mildred) Moon of Volant RD 1, Mrs. Hazel Stiles of Warren and Mrs. Ruby Adams of Mercer; two sons, Harry Barnes of Volant and Arthur Barnes of Slippery Rock; a sister, Mrs. George (Lila) Winsor of Rochester, N. Y. ; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Friends will be received at the Cunningham Leesburg Funeral Home, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Edward Truran of the Conway C & MA Church. Interment will follow in the Upper UP Cemetery, Plain Grove.
