Roy, Utah - 72, Loving wife, mother, grandmother, died Sat., May 23, 2009, at home from extended illness. Diane was born Jan. 29, 1937 to Oren M Cox and Nellie Doris Young at their home in Fairview, UT. by midwife, she was the 8th of 10 children.

Diane married Joseph Andrew Vock1er Jan. 10, 1952 (deceased) moving to California shortly after with Joe's professional military life. Allen Kay Stites married Diane March 1, 1997 their two families becoming one. Allen and Diane were sealed at the Ogden Temple Sept. 6, 2006.

Diane is survived by husband Allen, daughters Trudy – Dennis Ball, Washington Terrace, Teresa Tony - Winchester, Nauvoo IL, Dons Jo - Ross Murphy, Ogden, sons, Joseph Charles - Tern Sue Vockler Clearfield, Ron Andrew Vockler (Mindy) Riverdale, Kim - Don Weber Washington Terrace, Kris – Dan Boyd Battleground, WA, Sara Venz, Ogden, and David – Susan Stites, Clarkston, Ml, 33 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, one great -great grandchild, three of her four sisters and two of her five brothers. She was preceded in death by husband Joe and granddaughter Morgan May Weber.

Diane spent many years of her life as a Girl Scout leader, trainer and troop organizer with the Terra Del Oro Girl Scout Council while living in California.

After moving to Utah she worked for the Utah State University Extension Services as a dietician.

She was also involved with the American Legion Aux. Post 9. She loved her years of camping with the Good Sams Club and made many dear friends.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Applegate Hospice for all their loving care and also to Dr. Seth Lewis for his care.

Funeral services will be held Thurs. May 28, 2009 at the Lakeview LDS Ward 4900 S 2000 W Roy UT 11 a.m. Friends and family may call Wed. May 27, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service 10-11 am. interment will be at the Clearfield Lindquist Cemetery 1050 S State St Clearfield UT.
