CHARLES POE
Mr. Charles Poe, a resident of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, the past two years, died there unexpectedly Sunday evening. He was 79.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born Feb. 10, 1877, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Poe. He retired 10 years ago. In November of 1907 he married the former Johanna Martens who died in 1934.
He is survived by three sons, Clarence of Collins, Leonard of Inglewood, Calif., and Arthur of West Allis; a brother, Edward Poe of Neenah; two sisters, Mrs. William Smazel and Mrs. Louis Boehm of Manitowoc; and six granddaughters.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
