She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Minor Easling, and one of five children, all of whom are deceased save Mr. Henry L. Easling of this place. Emma Easling spent her girl-hood in Harrisburg Twp., until she was married to C. N. Henkle, May 20, 1868. Their only daughter, Grace, is left to mourn her loss. Mrs. Henkle's health had been declining for several months, and the end came on Sunday, July 21, at her home in Canton, Ill. The remains were brought to Bonaparte Tuesday evening, and interred in Vale cemetery, in Harrisburg Twp., Wednesday morning. A brief but impressive service was conducted by Rev. Abbott. Mrs. Henkle has many friends in this vicinity, who mourn her loss deeply.
