Mary Agnes DeCourcy was born 17 November 1875 in Maine, to Hannah Delaney and Daniel E. DeCourcy. She married Francis Bachiler Sanborn, and the two housed Francis's aging parents, Franklin Sanborn and his wife Louisa, in their New Jersey home during the winter months. Mary Sanborn lived a long life, dying 18 September 1973 at the age of 97. She was survived by a son, Francis Bachiler "Sonny" Sanborn Jr, who did not marry.
