The Oklahoman, Sunday, November 7, 1976:
Services for James Edward Hunt, 53, of 2240 NW 25, will be at 2 pm Monday at Nichols Hills Baptist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Home. Hunt, department manager for J. C. Penny's, died Thursday in Orange, CA, after a short illness. He was born in Chillicothe, TX, and came to Oklahoma City in 1966. He was a retail jewelry and a World War II veteran of the US Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Anateen; three sons, Michael, of the home; Bill, Houston; and Richard, Tulsa; two sisters, Mrs Fred Barton, El Paso; and Mrs Keith Loyd, Cabot, AR; two brothers, Elmer, Lewisville, TX; and Carl R., Tumwater, WA; his mother, Mrs T. C. Hunt, El Paso; and two granddaughters. Memorials made be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or to charity.
