Louis Dale Reed, 90, passed away March 14, 2013. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., KCMO. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Park Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Louis was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Chanute, KS, to George and Inez (Stewart) Reed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII in the tank division and a member of American Legion Post 596. He married Melba Delores Good on July 17, 1949. He was owner of the Suburban Dry Cleaners. He was a member of the Raytown Church of Christ. He was a volunteer at the VA Medical Center for 17 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, George and Richard; daughters, Marilyn Reed and Donna Duval. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Melba Delores (Good) Reed; daughter, Melody Bell (Michael); five grandchildren, Jeff Reed, Michelle Frazier, Chris Duval, Eric Duval and Layne Bell; one great grandson, Jackson Schliefert; son-in-law, John Duval.
