She was born May 2, 1940, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Jesse G. and Gladys I. Thorton Hart.
She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Vienna, attended Marshall University, and was an accountant for Westbrook Health Services. Linda was an avid NASCAR and local dirt track racing fan.
She is survived by her son, Patrick J. Flaherty of Vienna, W.Va.; a nephew, Tom (Doris) Hunter of Ashland, Ky.; two sisters, Gladys Jonas of Parkersburg and Joan Peck of Laurel, Md.; one brother, Kenneth Hart of Vienna; and her loving cat, Ralph.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Flaherty.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va., with Father John Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Roseberry Cemetery in Mason County. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
