__________
Mrs. Ella McKill Leatherman, wife of Charles Leatherman, died of pneumonia at their old home, south of McKill chapel, and was buried at the McKill cemetery. She was born in Arkansas and came to her late home when but a small girl and lived in that community almost her entire life. She was a thorough Christian woman. Converted at 15, she united with the M. E. church, South, and for years was a spiritual leader in her community, being superintendent of the Sunday School. She was a loving mother, a devoted sister and daughter and a kind neighbor. The funeral was preached in the church by her pastor, Rev. Hargis, to a large congregation. There were many floral offerings. She leaves a husband, a daughter, a son, two brothers, and aged mother and a host of friends and neighbors to mourn the great loss they have all sustained. May she rest in peace.
