Born December 28, 1947, a son of Homer Conner of Greenville and the late Mary Potter Conner.
In addition to his beloved wife and father, he is survived by three daughters, Debbie Massie and husband, Robert, of Piney River, Teresa Huntley and friend, John, of Stuarts Draft, and Tammy Frazier and friend, Tom, of Crozet; two sons, Gary Buchanan of Florida and Michael Conner of Waynesboro; two grandsons, Scott Huntley and wife, Heather, of Stuarts Draft, and Phillip Massie of Piney River; and two great-grandsons, Noah and Abram; one sister, Rosie Bosserman; and two brothers, Ernest Conner and Homer Conner Jr., all of Greenville.
Mr. Conner was retired from Wayne-Tex with 31 years of service and was a member of Faith Worship Center at Stuarts Draft.
Pallbearers will be Billy Lowe, George Gibson, Wesley Cash, Lester Frazier, Jesse O'Leary and Evan Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Layne, Leo Combs, Lovell Painter, Charlie Coffey, David Hall and Norman Stump.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2006, at Faith Worship Center in Stuarts Draft.
A service will be held1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006, at Faith Worship Center with the Rev. Dennis Bradley officiating with entombment in Augusta Memorial Park at Waynesboro.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Cirenzo and the staff of Augusta Medical Center H.O.P.E. Center for all their love, care and kindness.
