Patricia L. Baker, 65, of Hammond passed away on Friday, April 23, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her husband Ed, of 43 years; mother, Dorothy Imborek of Highland; brother, Robert (Robbie) Imborek of Schererville; two sisters-in-law, Kate and Alice Preston both of East Chicago; nieces and nephews: Katie and Josh Imborek and Travis and Corliss Preston. Preceded in death by her father, Ed. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the Kuiper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Francis Lazar officiating. Burial, Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, Indiana. Mrs. Baker was retired from the Inland Steel Co., with 30 years of service. Memorials may be given to William J. Riley Hospice of the Calumet Area.
