Abraham Shaffner, a well-known resident of Manheim borough, died at 2 o'clock Monday morning aged about fifty-five years. The cause of his death was typhoid pneumonia. Deceased was a master painter, and carried on the business extensively. Lately he had been associated with Isaac B. Levan in the manufacture of paint, having a small plant near the borough, which was to have been rebuilt and enlarged in the spring. Mr. Shaffner is survived by his wife and four children, three daughters and one son. (The Semi-Weekly New Era - Mar 13, 1901)
