Dolores Marie Ledet Lafont, 83, a native and resident of Larose, went to the Lord Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Darlene L. Loupe, Larry J. Lafont and wife, Gail, and Michael Lafont Sr. and wife, Yvonne; five grandchildren, Michelle Loupe, Monique Mathes, Tad Lafont, Michael Lafont Jr. and Laurie Lejeune; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Theard A. "Babe" Lafont Jr.; parents, Willie Ledet Sr. and Camelia B. Ledet; and brothers, Willie "Bill" Ledet Jr. and Herman Ledet Sr.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. She was a Eucharistic minister for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Holy Name Society.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
