DEATH OF MRS. M.J.
KNIGHTON

OCCURRED YESTERDAY AT
HOME OF HER DAUGHTER
MRS LANGSTON

Mrs. Martha J. Knighton died early Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. L. Langston, and her remains were interred in the new cemetery at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

The death of Mrs. Knighton was not a surprise to those familiar with her condition. She had been a helpless invalid for a long time, and having passed her three score and ten years, her death though sad, came not as a surprise.

The deceased was by nature a sweet spirited, christian hearted woman. She was for many years, a devout member of the Baptist church, and prior to her physical infirmities, was a constant prayerful attendant at divine services.

Her husband died a number of years ago, but a large family of descendants, sons and daughters survive, who are prominent, well known citizens of Homer and other communities.
