Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Leslie Henry Ricketts, Sr. and Amanda Louise Ashley Ricketts. He was retired from Duke Power Company, was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M. He served in the Army Reserves for 26 years and was co-owner of Playhouse Daycare.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons; Leslie H. Ricketts III of Honea Path and Mark Abercrombie of Donalds; three daughters, Angie Ricketts Gambrell, Amanda Ricketts McClain and Prissy Poole Vaughan all of Honea Path; one brother, Walter Bradley "W.B." Ricketts of Honea Path; two sisters, Peggy Jo Bailey of Cummings Ga., and Sarah McClain of Newnan Ga., and eleven grandchildren. Burial with Masonic Rites in Eastview Cemetery.
