PARK VIEW — Arnold Dale Foss passed away March 1, 2016, at his home in Park View. Arnold was born April 4, 1936, and raised in Exira, Iowa. Graduating from Dana College in Blair, Neb., with a business administration degree in 1958, he took a job in Davenport, where he met his future wife. They were married May 28, 1960, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport. He was a lifelong member of churches at Exira Lutheran, St. Mark Lutheran, Faith Lutheran, Prince of Peace, Davenport, and Park View Lutheran. He felt like he was family in each church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lulubelle Foss; daughters, Kirstin Anne Foss-Cuellar, Davenport, Julia Beth Hendren, Davenport, Karalyn Sue Granvin, Minneapolis; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; his sister, Mona Powers, Exira; five nieces; a mother-in-law, Julia Daily; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Daily. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Emerson and Anne Charlotte Foss; and father-in-law, Thomas C. Daily Jr.
A memorial service and reception will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Park View Lutheran Church. An internment service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at St. John's Cemetery (west of Exira).
