The funeral service for Mrs. Connie Lee, 94, was scheduled for Friday, June 16, at 2:00pm at Pond Bethel Methodist Church with the Rev. L.D. Woodham Jr. scheduled to officiated.
Burial was to follow at the church cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lee died Wednesday, June 14, at her home near Baker Hill.
Born May 5, 1906 in Barbour County, Mrs. Lee was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bamma Williams Shirley. She was a member of Pond Bethel Methodist Church and was retired from teaching in the Barbour and Henry County schools. Mrs. Lee was a graduate of Troy Normal (now Troy State university). She was the wife of the late Jim Barney Lee.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mack and Brenda Vichers of Bakerhill; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Vickers; and five grandchildren, Jimmy Vickers, Vicki Cole, Angie Hudson, Bobby Vickers and Lori Williams.
Active pallbearers were Bobby Vickers, Jimmy Vickers, Roger Cole, Charles Hudson, Garner Williams and Blake Cole.
