Louis A. Ackerman, 85, of South Main St., died yesterday at Mansfield General Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a retired machinist. Mr. Ackerman was born in Mansfield May 12, 1866 and spent his entire life here. He was a brother of the late Charles F. Ackerman, former president of the Mansfield Savings Trust National Bank.
Surviving are six nephews, Franklyn, Everett and Charles Albrecht, Ben A. Ernest and Thomas Ackerman; three grand-nephews, Charles and Avery Hand, Ben F. Ackerman, Jr..
Funeral services are in charge of Rev. John G. Gensel, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
