Hudson 'Hud' Brewer, 69, of Marvin Hill Rd., Springwater, died Monday (Oct. 5, 1981) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, following a brief illness.

Mr. Brewer was a native and life resident of Springwater. Prior to his retirement in 1979, he owned and operated the C.F. Cannon Co. of Springwater for about 40 years.

He was a member of the Wayland Board of Education for 10 years and was a member of the Springwater Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are his wife, Florence; two sons, Charles of Wayland and James of Dansville; two grandchildren; a brother, Charles Brewer of Rochester.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home of Wayland with the Rev. C. Dalton Scott officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Springwater. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayland Free Library or Noyes Memorial Hospital. (GCE, October 8, 1981, p4)
