Hugh A. Yates, 51, died Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction of complications of cancer. He was a son of Richard A. Yates and Jewel A. Wagner. He married (1) Harlene M. Schueler and had 3 children. He married (2) Judy Morgan and had a daughter Cassandra. He servied in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Judy of the home, his mother Jewel Bruhn of Palatine, IL; three daughters, Cassandra Yates of the home, Dawn LaBarre of Illinois, and Diane Yates of West Chicago; one son, Hugh Richard Yates of West Chicago; one brother, Eugene Yates of Villa Park, IL; and one grandson Brandon LaBarre, and many nieces and nephews.
