MRS. ROY LEIGHTON [Alice Loreita Dyal] RODGERS

Mrs. Loreita Dyal Rodgers, 81, of 400 Sumter St., Oglethorpe, Ga. died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997 in Emory Hospital in Decatur. Funeral Services were held Sunday, Sept. 28, 1997 in the Oglethorpe United Methodist Church with burial in OGLETHORPE MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY with the Rev. Lyn Harley officiating.
Mrs. Rodgers was born December 27, 1915 in Waycross, the daughter of Daniel Thomas Dyal and Lillian Tomlinson Dyal. She was a member of the Oglethorpe Garden Club, Music Lovers Club, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Oglethorpe United Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late Roy L. Rodgers.
Survivors: son, Jack Rodgers of Savannah, two daughters, Mrs. Dot Clements and Mrs. Lillian Kapiloff, both of Griffin, two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Livingston of Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. Lucille Rodgers of Fort Valley, eight grandchildren, David Clements, Coleman Clements, Elizabeth Clarke, Monica Sowell, Marsha Kapiloff, Paula Kapiloff, Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Hammond, Richard Kapiloff, three great grandchildren, Coleman Hammond, Johnathan Sowell, Ryan Sowell.
