Bert Bradley Calvin, 95, of Salem, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2007, at the home where he had also been born, in Green Twp. Mr. Calvin was born on February 18, 1912, the son of Harvey and Mary Bradley Calvin.

Bert was a self employed farmer. He attended the Locust Grove Baptist Church & Struthers Baptist Tabernacle. He was a member of the Mahoning County Farm Bureau.

Bert is survived by his wife, the former Eva Brewer, whom he married August 19, 1944. Other survivors include four daughters, Nancy (Tracy) Shipley of Salem, Esther (George) Travers of Framingham, MA, Lois (John) Palazzo of Solon, and Ruth (Jim) Shuda of Jefferson, WI; two sons, Earl (Martha) Calvin of Canfield and Roy Calvin of Columbus, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Two sisters Edith Barth and Edna Barth and one brother Daniel Calvin preceded him in death. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Rev. Robert Noble officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
