MOBERLY FIREMAN DIES
John D. Crews Succumbs Saturday at Daughter's Home - Funeral Services Held Monday
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Moberly, Monday, for John D. Crews, veteran fire fighter, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Ogden, Saturday night. Services were conducted by the Rev. E. D. Owen and burial was made in the Oakland cemetery.
Mr. Crews is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Fields of Las Vegas, N. M., Miss Alma Crews of Kansas City, Mrs. James Ogden of Moberly, and two brothers, W. C. Crews of Des Moines, Ia., and J. S. Crews of Renick.
In recognition of his faithful service as a fire chief for forty-three years, a draped fire truck accompanied his body to the cemetery.
