Lucy G. Fenstermaker, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002.

A Mass for her and her husband, Jack, will be at 4:30 p.m. EDT Monday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Road.

A reception for family and friends will be held in the church Community Center following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.

Fairchild Burial & Cremation Services (386-8686) handled arrangements.

Born in St. Paul, Minn., on Nov. 3, 1917, she was a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Commerce and Administration.

She and her husband of 62 years, who preceded her in death Aug. 8, moved to Tallahassee in June 2000 after living in San Francisco for 27 years.

She was an executive secretary for Charles Lazarus of Lazarus Department Stores in Columbus, Ohio, before marrying Jack in 1940.

A member of St. Hilary's Catholic Church in California, she served her community in many capacities by helping with Meals on Wheels, Welcome Wagon of Marin County and fund raising for Sunny Hills, a school for emotionally disturbed children.
