MULKEYTOWN - Roy P. Brammer, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, in Elgin.

Roy P. Brammer was born ,along with his twin brother, Ray E., on March 23, 1939 in Elgin.

He graduated from Central High School in 1957 at Burlington.

On November 19, 1962, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served four years. Most of the time was spent in France.

On Aug. 8, 1972, he wed Irene Parker.

In July 1977, he started working for Swift Brown and Serve at St. Charles. He worked there until May 1944, when he retired. In May 1994, they moved to Mulkeytown.

In 1997, he took lessons to become a lay speaker for the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and dad, Raymond Brammer and Leona Brammer; his wife, Irene, of 36 years, who passed away March 2, 2008.

Survivors include three brothers, Richard and Carol Brammer of Michigan, Leonard and Ruth Brammer of Elgin, and Ray E. Brammer of South Elgin; many nieces and nephews; and a very good friend, Pearl Mitchell of Christopher.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in United Methodist Church at 200 Dean St., in Royalton. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Methodist Church in Royalton.

Countryside Funeral Home in South Elgin is in charge of arrangements.
