RUBIN R. RICHARDSON

GILMER - Graveside services for Rubin R. Richardson, 81, of Gilmer will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Old East Mountain Cemetery in East Mountain. Arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mr. Richardson died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, in a Gilmer nursing home.

Mr. Richardson was born Dec. 25, 1923, in East Mountain to James Valter and Lela Mae Fleet Richardson. He was a retired operator for El Paso Natural Gas. Mr. Richardson served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Richardson, in December 2004; his parents, James V. and Lela Mae Richardson; one son, Billy Valter Richardson; and one brother, F.E. "Mack" Richardson.

Pallbearers will be Carl Stroope, Pete Harris, Milburn Shelton, Kenneth Leigh, Woody Woods, Jimmy Bryan, Les Bryan and Doug Thompson.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at the funeral home.
