She was born October 26, 1934 in Surgoinsville, Tennessee , and she lived most of her life in the Blountville area.
She was the co-owner and operator of Bennie's Saw Shop in Blountville, and was a member of the Blountville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin "Bennie" Barnes, five sisters and three brother.
She is survived by:
Daughters: Gwendolyn Barnes, Dee Dee Jones, Annette Houser and husband Allen
Grandchildren: Derrick Barnes, Amber Watson, Hunter Barnes, PFC Justin Houser serving with the United States Marine Corps., and Ben Houser
Great Grandchild: Camryn Muniz
Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held 7pm Monday, March 11, 2013 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ensminger officiating and eulogy by Carl Houser.
The entombment in the Glenwood Mausoleum.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
