TELL CITY - Frank Applegate, 49, died at 9:25 pm Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health Care, Owensboro, Ky.
A native of Perry County, he was born June 29, 1953, the son of the late Theodore Wilbur Applegate and Emma Lee (Huck) Beard. He was untied in Marriage Feb. 14, 1984, in Tell City to the former Martha Sue Harrison.
He was a former employee of Eureka Minning in Spencer county where he worked as an explosive expert. He was a US Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 213.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Applegate; his parents; and brother, Dennis Earl Applegate in infancy.
Services were held at 11 am Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton. The Rev. Earl W. Miller officiated. Burial was in Simons cemetery in Tobinsport where the American Legion conducted military rites.
