James R. Alston, Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Born in Windsor, NC on April 5, 1941, served in the Air Force and retired in 1967.
He moved to El Paso in 1972 where he worked for Sunland Optical Co. for 30 years as an Optician and General Manager.
Preceded by James R. Alston, Sr., father; Mary H. Alston, mother; brothers Levi Alston and William Alston; sisters Kathryn Smith and Alice Winer.
James is survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia (Pat) Alston, son James A. Taber, daughter Lori (Missy) Macias (Rick), grandchildren; 2 sisters Ida Hemingway and Jane Tew and numerous nieces and nephews.
