He worked in the timber business most of his life owning and operating Diggers Sawmill for 25 years. He enjoyed serving his community as Justice of the Peace for 8 yrs as well as first responder and President of the Allison-Sylamore VFD.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing with family and friends. He loved people and enjoyed life always finding joy and a way to laugh even in adversity. He was a very loving and devoted husband, Dad, and Grandad.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Bagby. He is survived by his wife Donna, daughter and son-in-law Lynnette and Daniel Crymes, three grandsons Darren, Trenton, Blake and one granddaughter Ellie. He is also survived by his sister Daisy Norman of Mountain View a host of nieces and nephews as well as many other friends and family.
A visitation was held on Monday, March 11, 2013, 12-2PM at the Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas.
A funeral service took place following the visitation beginning at 2:00PM. Brother Phil Sutton and Brother Anthony Shipman officiated. Interment took place at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View.
Pallbearers for the service were Vernon Lawrence, Bo Sloan, Bob Turner, Stanley Goodnight, Scott Flippo and Ronnie Harness. Honorary pallbearers were Aaron Bagby, Richard Holland, Harper Sanders, Don Keys, Rick Johns, Harold Mariott, and Leon Mariott.
