Mrs. Byrd was born February 8, 1934, in Columbus City, AL, to James and Myrtle Kirkland Morrison. She was employed as a dietitian at Pleasant View Luther Home and Community Hospital of Ottawa.
She is survived by her mother of Harriman, TN; three daughters, Mr. Jerry (Sheila) Stebbins and Mrs. Greg (Sharon) Olson, both of Marseilles, and Mrs. Marty (Cindy) Rios of Ottawa; a son, Jerry of Marseilles; five brothers, Cecil of Marseilles, James of Bardstown, KY, Jack of Lubbock, Texas, Luther of San Antonio, TX and Gordon of Oakdale, TN; and six sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Sue) Bruce of Auborndale, FL, Mrs. Dorothy Bianco and Mrs. Bill (Mary) Feldberg, both of Ottawa, Mrs. Cecil (Edith) Douglas of Riverview, FL, Mrs. Chuck (Faye) Pantaleo of Longwood, FL and Mrs. Leonard (Leona) Powers of Oakdale. She is preceded in death by her father and a son, Jim.
