Darral W. Jenkins was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Slaton, Texas to George Williem Jenkins and Velma Mae (Jackson) Jenkins. He passed away Sept. 16, 1985 in Clovis, NM.

Mr. Jenkins attended school in Slaton. He was married to Barbara Garadiner on Jan. 31. He was a construction worker.

Darral is survived by his wife;
two stepsons: Tommy Usher and James Usher
two stepdaughters: Dawn Zann and Brenda Usher
parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkins of Clovis
one brother: Rodney Jenkins of Clovis
two sisters: Janice "Jan" Sanders of Clovis and Robin Barker of Muleshoe, TX

He was predeceased by a brother, Randy Jenkins, in July.

Funeral services were at Steed-Todd Chapel, Clovis. Burial was in Mission Gardens of Memories Cemetery.

Darral may not have known that his great great grandfather, Albanus Logan Jenkins, served in the Civil War. There are other Jenkins relatives who are/were also veterans.

In 1964, Army Pvt. Darral W. Jenkins, son of George W. Jenkins of 3121 Nelson, had advanced training at Fort Bliss as an artillery automatic weapons crewman. He trained under the Reserve Enlistment Program.
