"Mrs. Mary Calvin, 80, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Oct. 21, at her home in Fort Walton, Fla. She had been in failing health for several years, and had been bedfast eight months since fracturing a hip in a fall. Mrs. Calvin was born in Goshen, Indiana, June 15, 1872, a daughter of William and Sarah Armstrong Arnold, and came to Canfield with her family when a small child. In 1899 she was married Joe V. Calvin of Canfield and for many years had resided in and near Birmingham, Ala. For the past seven years the couple had made their home in Fort Walton. Besides her husband, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Owens of Fort Walton, and Mrs. Neil Hutchings of Birmingham; and a brother, Sylvester A. Arnold of Youngstown. An only child, Lee died in 1915. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Harold W. Kaser were held Saturday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Home, and burial made in Canfield cemetery."
