SPRING GROVE Russell H. Deardorff, 86, of Spring Grove RD 7, died at 10:28 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Mary I. (Harrold) Deardorff, to whom he was married for 67 years.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Stoverstown. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at the church.
Mr. Deardorff was born July 18, 1909, in York. He was the son of the late Daniel P. and Virginia W. (Lightner) Deardorff.

He worked for American Chain and Cable Co. in York, retiring in 1972 after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Spring Grove Area Senior Citizens Group and a life member of Jefferson Fire Company.
Mr. Deardorff also is survived by a son, Harold E. Deardorff of Spring Grove RD 1; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be his interim pastor, the Rev. Robert M. Bistline.
