Josephine Myrth Roberts, age 88, of Roosevelt passed away March 7, 2013 at 3:35 a.m. at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from causes incident to age.

Myrth was born June 21, 1924 in Cedarview, Utah to George and Susan Bell Labrum Fenn. She was the fourth of ten children.

She married Edmond Franklin Thompson, April 20, 1939. Nine children were born to this marriage. He passed away October 8, 1960.

Myrth then married Burnett Roberts in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1994. He was very kind and generous to her. He passed away August 8, 1998.

Myrth was raised in Cedarview until she was five and then on a family farm in Montwell. Mom raised a large family and had to provide much of the support for her children, working for many years as a waitress and at Sullivan Furniture, Huish Drug, Basin Drug and at Thompson Chiropractic.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and rendered service in many callings in the church. She served for many years in the Vernal LDS Temple and also served a mission to the Washington DC Temple.

She enjoyed family reunions, visits from her children and grandchildren, camping and fishing in the mountains, home crafts and books. She was very energetic at gardening, raised beautiful flowers and loved her yard.

She is survived by her children, Randall V (Cuba) Thompson, Roosevelt; Ellen Myrth (Mike) Foster, Vernal; Leanna Kay (Allan) Iorg, Roosevelt; John Franklin, (Rinda) Thompson, Mt. Pleasant; Susan Laura Ivie, Roosevelt; Peggy Jean Thompson, American Fork; Kathy Lynn O'dell, Seattle, Becky Eunice (Ken) Estep, Roosevelt; siblings, Leonal Roscoe, Myrlin Dwayne, Glenn Monroe, Myrna Belle, daughter-in-law, Lorene, Papillion, NE; step-children, Betty Peterson, Keniwick, WA; Marilyn (Wade) Rich, Vernal; and step-daughter-in-law, Carma Jean Lisonbee, Duchesne; 43 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and her constant companion in her last years, her little dog Maggie.

Her long years of sacrifice for her family will forever be a memorial to her and will never be forgotten. We know Mom is having a grand reunion in a wonderful place.
